Previously a club team, U SPORTS and Tennis Canada teamed up Fall of 2023 to establish tennis as the newest addition to the U SPORTS fixture!  We regularly compete against other Universities, both Varsity and Club teams, which are all made up of high-caliber tennis players.

As such, coaches will consider the following in player selection:

• Tennis Canada player level of 5.0 or higher

• Previous participation in high-performance tennis and proficiency in tournament play

• Your availability to participate in team practices

• Prior attendance records (if previously on the tennis team)

• Fitness level

Up to 10 men and 8 women who are full-time students will be selected for the 2025/2026 season.

Team Tryouts for the 2025/2026 season will be held on the first 2 weekends of September (6th, 7th, 13th, and 14th):

• Men's team tryouts at 1:00 PM

• Women's team tryouts at 4:00 PM

• Location: Alberta Tennis Centre (295 – 90th Avenue SE).
